Just for my own knowledge, is the PA2 also a line driver? As in some AudioControl units, you set the volume on the head unit, and then use the volume on the control unit from then on?

Yes, that is how any preamp works.

I understand how a preamp works ;), I was asking in terms of if this was a line driver also as not all preamps (eq's etc.) are line drivers. :)

One way to make the determination is by the volume knob. If they have a volume knob, they are line drivers. Hence, the pre-amp designation.

The PA-2 Audiopath is a preamp (line driver) and EQ, it has 32 dB of clean undistorted gain from input to output signal, more than anything else on the market.
