Welcoming New Dealers to Linear Power and Blues Car Audio Family

Took you long enough Chris. Congrats on picking up Blues. -

Yeah, my CD7100 has 8v pre outs. I am thinking I am probably just stick my mine or either the HX-D1 or the 7200 if I find one for the right price until I can find one that suits all my needs which will probably be never lol. It seems like for me it will always be a tradeoff. Edit: the post above mine had me bleeping words. I doubt it, but can you show me what to look for the see that and maybe even give an explanation of the pros/cons?
-
I like the look of that, and the 110 S/N ratio looks very nice. Is there an English option for the HU or is it just just memorization. Also, mind PMing me a few pictures of it installed? I am putting this on my list of hopefuls.
-
After hearing the dramatic difference in sound quality on my crappy speakers just from installing the Eclipse, I decided I will no longer install a head unit in my car with less than a 100dB S/N ratio. Hopefully the Parrot Asteroid will have nice enough specs.
-
Honestly, most just aren't quite up to par with my wants out of one and those that are don't match my tasted (or budget). I have an Eclipse CD7100 that I plan to replace with the CD7200 mkII. I figure I would keep the 7100 as a spare since Eclipse has discontinued all car audio productions. I'm not trying to convince you to make head units anymore, just letting you know where I am coming from.
-
That's understandable. I was just really hoping for a gorgeous HU that was designed just for SQ. Edit: Also, I assumed had you made one you would make it right.
-
I was wondering if you guys at Linear Power would ever make a head unit? With as great as y'all seem to be with electronics and the fact that seems to be the last product needed to make a complete install I was thinking it sounded like a great idea. If you do I was thinking of a simple HU that plays CD's and FM/HD Radio. After that just do what you guys normally do with great S/N ratios and low THD. Just make sure it blows the MX406 out of the water.

Congratulations, any other work planned on improving the scores or are you just planning on enjoying it as it is for a while? -
I'm not sure I'm comfy airing this kind of dirty laundry here. Aaron is obviously free to say what he pleases on his forum. But I think the rest should shop some class and not risk bad mouthing anyone unless it's a legitimate warning against doing business with them. Apparently this came off the wrong way. I actually really like Ed. I made my comment because on one of his videos on SBN he showed a couple SQ cars and I was surprised he hadn't heard the Blues. With the talk on here about how great this gear sounds compared a lot of the competition, I would have liked to seen his response. My post had no negative or malicious intentions, just messing with the guys here.

I would like to point out that in this situation, Trippi, the owner of the Hummer, admitted that Ed did warn him about the issues that did in fact arise and Trippi decided to go ahead with it. It is true that Ed took a lot of heat for it even though the owner absolved him.
-
He works at T3 Audio and is fairly prominent on some of the forums. My comment was because one of his videos about SBN referenced a couple SQ rides. I heard from him though that he had not listened to your product and getting Blues on one of his videos would be some decent exposure.

X2 on the above. -
Apparently while you all were there, you didn't even find Edward Lester to show him some real SQ.
