    Google scetch up

If a person was to draw a box design on google scetch up is it possible for it to figure up the space inside the box?

    Google scetch up

I am pretty noob with it, but got a design figured up. Would it be possibly to send ya a copy of the file to see if it would work ported?

I guess this should be a question more for bromo. If I send ya a google scetch drawing can you do anything with it?

    Blazer Build

With just 2 12s the top still rattles pretty bad. But everyone says plenty of room for alternators etc, plenty of room inside but under the hood the diesel dont leave much room lol. Been putting alot of thought in which direction I am gonna go and I about have myself talked into a single 12. The eq is very classic, I had another one also in 92.

    Blazer Build

The radio was held in by a hacked up install kit. I ordered a new one (with eq slot) and got it set up right finally. I did keep the old school Sony eq and got it installed too. Its wired in and working but not affecting sound any, more for dislpay right now. With all the control the deck has I am thinking of leaving the eq just for dislpay. It only has one set of inputs with front/rear/sub out with 80/120 cross over settings. I can adjust alot more from the radio. But the eq does look good lol. Will try to get some decent pics tomo and post them up.

It is pretty good, was parked for several years. About 3 houses down from my mothers. Bromo might be hitting ya up on a box design for 2 Alpine type r 12's soon as the weather startes getting warm again.

    Blazer Build

my doors are my enclosures for my 6.5s ... I plan to run 6.5s in the doors, just got to figure out where. My preference might not work since the inside the lower door is filled with elec window motor. Have to research this a little more.

    Blazer Build

Welds are not my worries, been working as a welder for about 15 years now, kinda why I was thinking of going this route. the inside "bed" sides make good locations for mid-bass. Thinking maybe a decent 8" and with basically 1/8 metal I can make a decent enclosure for them between iinterior panels and outer skin. Honestly I could probably fit a 10" in there if wanted.

I have access to sheets of metal at work but thicker than sheet metal, 0.112 thickness. I figured it would hold up pretty good against flex especially from mid-bass

    Cablguy184's 1997 Chevy Silverado

I have been a big fan of Kenwood head units for a long time. They do have great features and great quality too. I am going to miss my double din touch screen. Just cant see me cutting up a metal dash to make one fit.

    Blazer Build

Thanks guys, this build probably wont be as loud as my previous. It was pretty brutal. The build will also consist of more than just the stereo. Got big plans for the truck overall too. Nothing extreme as this is my DD. But custom front and rear bumbers rust removal and a new paint are in its future at some point. Cableguy if I remember corectly your the one that pointed out my screen name in the mazda build lol. I have been pondering an idea and need some advice, has anyone used metal to build small enclosers for mid-bass? Like in doors or such?
  16. Not sure if it should be called a build, rebuild or transfer but heres a run down of the plan. I have 2 extra cab Mazda trucks, the older (grey) one is my temp. daily till I get the tranny rebuilt in the green one that has 280k miles on it. Most of the goods are currently and temperarily installed in the grey truck so I can still enjoy it. The box is a decent attemp at my first ported box build and sounds extremely well but only below 40hz so a new box will be built off of plans that Bromo worked up for me (thanks again). Also pulling the 0 awg welding power wire out along with the Sundown SAZ 1500 amp and Kenwood kfc-p709ps 6.5 comps. In the truck already is a Kenwood ddx512 double din with a 160 gig hd hooked up to the usb with all the music and videos loaded to prevent any skipping that I know will happen with any cds tried to be played. I know everyone loves pics so here are 2 of the trucks. I make more of the equipment tomorrow and post up.

    Extra Cab Mazda Build

Personally I will never own another Hifonics amp again UNLESS its an old school. I had an old Hifonics Vulcan that was awsome.

    Extra Cab Mazda Build

Bum those are great ideas but with a t-line especially i wont be able to use a plexy window, mirrors, and leds. Well not big enough to justify making it worth it. Plus I am on the small side already of a ported box as it is, a doubt I will have enough room for a t-line using both subs and still have the leg room I have now. I am 6' tall so I need all I can get lol.

    Extra Cab Mazda Build

Well been looking at the same install for a while now and thinking seriously about changing it up some. Thinking of buidling the box with countersunk subs, plexy window, mirrors and leds again but not completely the same as the first one. This time taking it a little slower and doing a better job too. Yes I am happy with how it sounds, just cant leave it the same too long lol.

  22. A buddy of mine loves my stereo and wanted to step up to something better, he got 4 Autotek m12d4s and an Autotek m4000.1d amp. I know not the greatest of equipment but a decent get by for now. So I built him a box and hooked everything up and I have to admit it did impress me. I didn't get to round over any of the port corners since my router died cutting the first sub hole. That was upsetting. But a new router will come and he is planning to upgrade to better subs as money permits. So on with some pics and short vid. Sorry no pics of the amp.

    Sundown NS-1 Amplifier Preview Picture

    That is one sweet amp!
  24. This is why I said why I did, if he wants to use this small amp for his tweeters he will need a good 3 way C/O otherwise a good mid size amp with a passive C/O torunmids and highs. But either way can be set up to sound good, I have used both and now back to a passive setup for lack of room for an eletronic C/O
