  1. Thats sweet. I am sure I wouldnt have the patience to do it. Keep with it, IIRC it is a dying talent in the customization industry.

hope you don't got that zune you wanted

I dont have either. I would like an ipod for flexibility but dont care for the software they use, I see some keep freezing up, and they dont support FLAC.

I glad this "Holiday Season" stuff is almost over.
  7. So I will be in the market for new sub woofers and I need some help narrowing/making a choice. They will be 2 12's What I'm looking for out of the sub is some thing that will play nicely with the front stage, which will consist of Mach 5 mli65's in the doors and seas 27TFNN's in the pillars being ran active by an 880prs. I'm sure 2 12's will have more then enough output for me so that is not being considered. The subs will start out their life in a sealed enclosure but I would like them to be versatile enough to experiment with different enclosures. Power available is 1400 ~ 1600 @1ohm and I have no idea at other impedances its a sundown Audio prototype. Price range looking at 0 to $300 per driver Some subwoofers that I have been looking at are (in no particular order) SSA Icon 12's Incriminator Audio Flatlyne 12s ( They are on sale right now) Stereo Integrity Magv4 (problem only D2 available so only a 2 ohm load on amp for the pair ~300 to 400 per driver and heard they are a sealed only driver) SoundSplinter RL-P 12s ( problem only D2 available so only a 2 ohm load on amp for the pair ~300 to 400 per driver) Mach 5 IXL 12's ( problem only D2 available so only a 2 ohm load on amp for the pair ~300 to 400 per driver) Diamond Audio D6 ( heard them awhile ago and was surprised by them) JBL W12GTi Mkii ( D6ohm, Odd ohm load but shouldn't be a problem) JL Audio 12W6v2 ( Kinda pricey) Soundstream R1-12L ( Not to much information on these around Also pricey) Polk Audio SR12 ( havent heard much on them) Oz Audio Me 12.4 ( could be difficult to find) If I forgot any information let me know. Any other suggestions will be taken note of.

I thought it was a good idea. I have no idea how to get it started though, I know a simple heating element in the blade should work but as far as legalities and that nature, no clue. The whole problem I was having was the ice would build up on the blade so they wouldnt do their job and squeegee the snow, water, and ice away. Just checked they have something already. http://www.everblades.com/

LOL I had to do the old roll down the window and try to snap the wiper as it came near or else I couldnt see. I can do without mirrors but the Ice built up on the wiper pretty fast and I couldnt see in front of me.

    Choosing New Subwoofers

I wouldn't say bored with common stuff just not fond of them. MTX has good amps I'm not fond of their subs though had a bad experience with their thunder 8000 series. RF looks to gawdy for me and makes me think they are trying to cover something up, their amps are nice though. Kicker the only sub I would contemplate getting from them is the CVX, dont care for square subs it just doesnt seem right to me. I have looked at the daytons actually, I have the parrtsexpress catalog right next to me. Really I need to pick something and live with it, just a little info I tend to keep my equipment a long time. I have a sub that was supposed to be temporary but has been a little longer then temporary (2+years).

I completely forgot about these subs when make my list. I've heard a little bit of good things about them anybody with any more to say about them. The SD 12 from CSS http://www.creativesound.ca/ The Shiva-X from exodus audio. http://www.diycable.com/main/product_info....products_id=653
  15. You can get the RL-i's in S4s http://www.soundsplinter.com/rli10_subwoof...nformation.html http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/zencart...;products_id=39 You could also check into the CSS SDX 10's or the SD 12's depending on space. http://www.creativesound.ca/

    Choosing New Subwoofers

Not that I can think of I will keep that in mind though. I went to the local flea market today to browse around. You can get decent stuff there nothing spectacular, the thing is there you can haggle with them and if you do it right you can sometimes get better prices them ebay. I seen some JBL W12GTi MKii subs there but they were used and I dont think I would take a chance with them.
  17. I think you need to get an RL-P so I can listen to it.

    Choosing New Subwoofers

The G5's are an option but crutchfield doesnt have the 12's. I will admit I have been thinking of Icons for a long time (at least a couple months) and the flatlyne has been in my head since it came out. The latest idea I have been toying with is buying a single flatlyne this month on sale and if I like it get another at a later time or if I dont I could sell it and I dont think I would loose to much on it.

I know ROE, I am not sure on the response I'd get there. Like you said a lot of it would be BS. So far this is the only place I got good information from. I also posted on SSA and got decent but none that I was looking for, I had a couple people in mind that I would have liked to answer my thread but they didnt. You know its a little flusterating when you ask a good thought out question and not get a good response you just get "Yo go with this dawg their the shiznit, you be bangin so looooud". Yes I know that but can you elaborate any. alright /rant Ill post it on ROE and see what I get.

The point was that it is old enough to warrant a good review from a good source. Being over 2 years old, someone reputable has to have had some experience with it.

    Choosing New Subwoofers

Your right this is rare. The most predominant options have been the Flatlynes, SSA Icons, and the Rl-p's (when I could get D4's). So I guess the main two left are Icons and Flatlynes, I will need to make a decision by the end of the month in order to take advantage of the Black & Blue sale. Just need to decide if money will allow a purchase right now and if I want the Flatelynes. Thank you for everyones replies they are well appreciated.
