I just ordered some phoenix gold rsd6cs comps.I found them on ebay for $50.49 shipped and the auction stated that it was the last set they had.I'll give a review after their installed and broke in.I also picked up a used h/u:blaupunkt pasadena cd71.Anybody have experience with older blaupunkt h/u's?Built in 2003. http://www.audioonli...01/pasadena.jpg

Don't think I have seen so many duplicate posts at once. Hope the software team can get the little glitch fixed soon. :)

And I hope the glitch get fixed too.Every time I click post,I get this wierd screen. So I thought that it didn't work so I reposted a couple of times.

Aaron:Well, they are supposed to be here friday so I'm planning on installing them on saturday.I'm not looking forward to making door pods.I've never done that before. My door panel('99 grand prix)has the door speaker cover kinda on an angle up toward the front seat, and the speaker mounts flat to the door.I was thinking of making the speakers flush with the outside of the door panel and making something to attach to the stock location.Anyways thats what I was thinking.Do you have any thoughts?

The glitch is fixed.Thanks

That sounds ok to me. Maybe take some pictures to explain it once they get there.

You'll have to do some cutting to the door panel to get the 6" speaker to mount on it. I've seen some builds for the grand prix where they took the sock mounts and modified the stock mounts to accept 6.5" speakers, I can't remember where though. Here is what I did with mine, I am thinking about redoing them though. http://www.caraudio-...t895-p9000.html Basically I took .75" MDF and with a belt sander to it tapered it so it was ~.25" at the top and .75" at the bottom.

Thanks for the link Bromo. That's kinda what I had in mind, accept I was going to use a 8" orbital hog to sand the angle.I might not do that now,I really won't know untill I dig into it.I'll take pics tomorrow of my install and of my dad's beloved '83 z28.I have alot of hours into his car,and were upgrading the engine......I'll start a new topic for that though.

I've been seriously thinking about redoing them as I'm not entirely happy with it. I want to make a fiberglass form of the stock pieces and modify it to accept the larger speaker. It seems to work in my head but I won't know until I attempt it. You should start a build log for both the vehicles. :)

Looks decent, but the picture is blurry to really tell.

I kinda did that on purpose. Not really,my camera sucks.I will do a build log like bromo sugg. this summer.By then I should have a decent camera.Anyways the speakers sound pretty good.I will give a review after a couple weeks of playtime.
