The tail lights were painted the correct way, not the autozone way, lol! They were scuffed with a gray S.O.S. pad masked off, and sprayed with a tinted clear coat! To get the depth of black I wanted and darkness, I have 8 coats of clear, and you can see the lights perfectly day or not as if they were never sprayed!

sweet a white one like mine . one problem is tri coats cost a grand for paint in prep alone here is some thing to check before you drop the dime strut towers and the floor boards any sign of rust forget painting it further just drive it till the wheels fall off lol's i did a lot of paint and body work at school so i know. unless you live in the desert foreget painting it cause it a instance shit bucket lol's good for sq but shitty fo snow cause they rust in those spots i siad.

Yeah I know, this car is actually pretty solid! Only 90k miles on a 98 too! I actually went to Wyotech for body, paint, interiors, street rods, chassis fab, and advanced street rod, so I know my way around, and the white I have is Bc/cc, not a tri coat, so it wont cost an arm an a leg when I paint it!

that is a tri stage dude you forgot primer coat, then base coat, clear coat ,if it was a single stage paint it would be a lot cheaper. some of my instructors went to wyo tech too good school at that. you could paint it single stage over it. there crappy and can yellow over time and will not last as long as a well done tri stage. i even mix the two up from time to time. it is hard remembering. that is why god invented the ppg paint scale and color match system lol's.
