As you can see shes been through hell and back, but like all old school amps, just keeps right on ticking! It used to be black, now its bronze due to heat over the years

Ok I tossing ideas around on where to mount my tweeters. I am thinking about building on my A-pillars or in the factory location on the doors! What do you guys think?

I still have two classic RF amps in my collection, but they are not that old.

I went to an estate auction a few years ago, the guy was a custom car collector. I bought a bunch of misc stereo stuff, stuff I thought was cool and they had a box labeled amplifiers and speakers, so I asked about it, and they said $200 its mine, but I had to get everything, I said F-it cool! I bought it went home and opened it up to find this:

Amps:
Soundstream D-60(2), D- 100 (2), D-200(2), and a very rare MC-500
RF- punch 30 (2), punch 45(2), & punch 150(2)
But the crem de le creme was the mint condition Rockford Fosgate Power 1000 (chrome), it had every manual original box and all plastic to cover it! It looked like it was never used.
Us Amps VLX 200 & 150

It had some Zapco processors, misc wiring, and some older Focal speakers.

I still have the Power 1000, it sits in my safe!

I don't think I have ever seen a box big enough to hold all those amplifiers. Hell, the VLX200 is 4 feet long by itself.

That Power 1000 isn't doing you any good in a safe. That amp could run your whole system and not break a sweat.

I will be building positive and negative battery terminals as well as positive and negative distibution blocks for in the trunk.

I figure I have the knowledge and skill, so why not just do it myself. But it will be some time before I get to that point, still gotta get the battery.

I spent 3 years of my life as a machinest, then got laid off when the economy hit the shitter. I have a good friend that still works in a shop, so I will get to use some of the equipment! ;)

Im also waiting to hear back on a modded LP302 amp for the tweeters. I will then keep the LP Model 60A as a keepsake and add to my collection! Then its all about my EQ and then I am ready for extensive tuning!

Really wish I were closer to you and Ray for help with tuning.
