That is why I just work more, gives me less time to think about money I could spend.

Couple hundred to play with right now. That's what I'm thinking as well. I just don't think anything is going to sound like the CRX did. a 3" tube on that car was really throaty. Total different head and valve train, which will mean a different sound. Either way, more air in and more air out will help your farfigscooting.

just seems to me that a guy named "bowtieguy" would be driving a Chevy ... I had a full size chevy truck that I loved then gas prices started going up so I aquired my green Mazda for daily driving. When it got to the point I barely drove the old truck I decided to sell it. I still miss it. But I have been and always will be a chevy man

With just 2 12s the top still rattles pretty bad. But everyone says plenty of room for alternators etc, plenty of room inside but under the hood the diesel dont leave much room lol. Been putting alot of thought in which direction I am gonna go and I about have myself talked into a single 12. The eq is very classic, I had another one also in 92.

Just wanted to start an official build log for my car. The box build was over a while ago so i need to move conversation on over here about my build. Ill start it off with some stuff i did the other day between classes. Took a panel out. rattled too much. put a lil extra deadener i had in place of it, between some other rattle traps as well. with the port unloading on the hatch, my tail lights rattle like crazy. and for fun... Oh, and i finally got my first cut from a rough edge on a CLD tile. moar blood!

Benefit Raffle for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Raffle with all proceeds going to St Jude Childrens Research Hospital $10 a ticket Send gift through PayPal to lucilledeyoungfoundation@gmail.com Seven prizes: 15" SSA Icon, 12” SSA GCON, 10" SSA GCON, 12” SSA DCON, SSA Dickies Shirt, (2) Two $25 coupon codes to the SSA Store Raffle will last one month and end on February 24th, 2013. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Story On November 6th, 2012 my wife and I welcomed our first child into this world. Lucille Louise DeYoung was born 10 weeks premature into the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She spent 64 days in the NICU and came home to us January 9th, 2013. My wife’s pregnancy was a struggle from the beginning. After many complications, being told that we would more than likely lose the baby, and a few trips to the E.R. they finally admitted her (28 weeks pregnant) and told us that she was going to stay until they decided it was time to deliver the baby. After just a few days they decided that it was no longer safe for the baby and that she needed to come out. Lucy was born a perfectly healthy baby at 3 pounds 2 ounces, perfect all except for her brain. A MRI done a few days after her birth revealed that she suffered a large amount of brain damage. This left my wife and I with so many questions that the doctors could not answer. What does this mean? Will she ever go to school? Ride a bike? Walk? Talk? We still don’t know the answers to these questions but there one thing we do know: She is our miracle baby and the she has already progressed farther than the doctors were expecting. I am not telling you this story for sympathy but to bring awareness to Lucy’s and other children’s situations. My wife and I would like to raise money for children’s research and help prevent our situation from happening to others. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Raffle Each ticket will cost $10 each. I will be installing my HU and new LP amp in a couple of weeks so I was going through the operation manual for the 80PRS. With all the options I was wondering if anyone knew which encoder had the best SQ. I was leaning toward the AAC and WAV but I have no experience with either.

Aaron approached me about building a budget 2.1 setup for watching movies on his laptop. We came to the agreement to build two small towers which will have four 3" full range speakers per side arranged in a line array. Each tower will be roughly.5 cubic feet sealed after displacements. A SoundSplinter Orphan 8 will be used for subwoofer duty. The woofer enclosure is .65 cubic feet after displacements, which is rather large for the orphan but very low power is being used. Amplifier to be used: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-775 Aurasound speakers: http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/approx-3-fullrange/aurasound-ns3-193-8a1-3-black-cone-wide-range/ Wood cut ready to assemble:

Hey guys I have been off here for a little while but thought I would drop in with an update. The mazda and entire system has been sold in order to purchase another vehicle, one that fits my screen name ALOT better!! 1989 CHEVROLET K5 Blazer with a 6.2 diesel. Gained alot more room, 4wd, and better mpg. A new build will come as money allows. Done a few upgrades already. Kenwood KDC-X995 head unit with sirius and ipod hooked up, got some temp 6x9s in boxes in the floor between front and rear seats and borrowing some Alpine type r 12s and a Crunch cr2000.1 from my wonderful neighbor till I make a purchase on some E series Sundown 12s. This truck still has the FACTORY speakers in and was hooked up lol. Anyways a few pics of my new tank.

Well, it has come down to this. Over the last couple of years I have tried out several different forums, all audio related, and some worse than others in my opinion. I can now say, that as of today, this forum is the only one I will participate in. I'm hoping this forum remains as civil, open, and informative as it has been so far. There are people on here that are respectful, knowledgeable, humble, and always willing to help if at all possible. If you ask me, that's the way it should be. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about others. I'm certainly not going to mention any names, just not my style. I'm sure some of you probably already have it figured out from your own experiences. An individual such as myself can post a statement on one of many other forums that reflects his/her interest or opinion. I believe there are certain members that actually look for particular people, and most definitely particular equipment or companies, and immediately start trash talking about what one uses or supports. I just don't get it. In my opinion, its in no way necessary and absolutely rude and out of the bounds of what a forum can, and should, be. I have experienced this personally, and have seen it happen to several others. I don't like it, and therefore have ceased to participate in those forums. Again, I certainly hope this forum remains as good as it has been so far. In my experience, I would call this one unique. It has the members and the vibe and feel that separate it from the rest of the crowd. Sorry for my little rant. I'm just aggravated. Anyway, if you've decided to read this far, I hope you take it for what its worth, as my opinion and personal experience, and nothing else. Thanks to the many members here that make this a class act forum!!
